At first, Petra went to college in Karlovy Vary where she met Dita, a very good friend with whom she had plenty of adventures, including a spell as a guide round a castle in eastern Bohemia. After the Velvet Revolution, Petra started at the Charles University in Prague. In order to get accepted on the English course, she chose a second language that she thought would be the least popular. She was right but the four Vietnamese students (Petra, Jana, Bohdala and Eva) would become a very tight unit. She also had many friends on the English course like Lada, Helena and Pavlina. Whilst at the university, she lived in a room in the halls of residence in Petriny. She shared a room with Misa with whom she got on really well.
